1. Introduction

Welcome to Your Free Site. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our services. By applying for, accessing, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.

2. Services Provided

  • Your Free Site provides website design and development services at no upfront cost, subject to approval.

  • Website hosting is billed monthly at £18.00 or £180.00 per annum, and includes hosting, SSL certificate, security, and maintenance.

  • Custom domain linking is included, however domain purchase and renewal are your responsibility.

  • Your Free Site also provides secure Email hosting, billed monthly at £5.00.

3. Application and Acceptance

All applications are subject to review and acceptance by Your Free Site. Once your application is accepted and you complete the onboarding process, you expressly authorise us to begin building your website and your free trial will start immediately.

4. 7 Day Free Trial

  • The free trial lasts 7 calendar days.

  • The trial begins immediately upon completion of onboarding, not upon website approval or launch.

  • During the trial, your website will be designed and developed and you may request reasonable amendments.

  • You may cancel at any time within the trial period without charge.

  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid hosting subscription will automatically begin.

5. Subscription and Billing

  • After the free trial ends, hosting is billed at £18.00 per month or £180.00 per annum.

  • Payments are billed in advance.

  • There is no minimum contract term.

  • Failure to cancel within the trial period results in the first payment being taken automatically.

6. Refund Policy

  • All payments taken after the free trial period are strictly non-refundable.

  • No refunds will be issued for failure to cancel within the trial period.

  • No refunds will be issued for dissatisfaction after the trial has ended.

  • No refunds will be issued for unused time, changes in business circumstances, or lack of usage.

7. Website Review and Approval

  • You are responsible for reviewing your website during the trial period.

  • Minor amendments may be requested during development.

  • Approval of the website or continuation beyond the trial constitutes acceptance of the website as delivered.

8. Custom Domain Linking

  • You are responsible for purchasing, renewing, and maintaining your domain name.

  • Your Free Site is not responsible for domain expiry, loss, or third party registrar issues.

9. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your hosting subscription at any time.

Cancellation will stop future billing; however, all payments made are strictly non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods, unused time, or failure to cancel before a renewal date.

Upon cancellation, your website will remain live until the end of your current billing period. Your subscription will then terminate on the scheduled renewal date, after which your website may be taken offline.

If you wish to transfer your website to another hosting provider, a one-time transfer fee of £199.00 will apply. This fee covers the preparation and release of website files and any reasonable assistance required to facilitate the transfer.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for breaches of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse.

10. User Responsibilities

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information.

  • You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of account credentials.

  • You confirm all content provided is lawful and does not infringe third party rights.

  • You agree not to use the services for illegal or unauthorised purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

  • This includes loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunity.

  • Total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.

  • We are not responsible for issues caused by third party providers or circumstances outside our control.

12. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We comply with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.

  • You confirm that all data you provide complies with legal requirements.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold WebsitesForFree harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the services, content you provide, or breach of these Terms.

14. E-commerce Payment Processing

  • We use Stripe Connect to process all e-commerce transactions.

  • Stripe charges £0.20 plus 1.5% per transaction.

  • Your Free Site charges £0.10 plus 0.5% per transaction.

  • All fees are deducted before funds are transferred.

  • We are not responsible for delays or errors caused by Stripe or other third party payment providers.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including technical failures, natural disasters, or third party service outages.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
